Last Post for Lady Paget

On Sunday 26 April 2015, we played the Last post for Lady Paget and the brave women in various foreign medical missions who risked their lives in Serbia and on the fronts during the Great War. After the Liturgy, at 12.30, there was a commemoration in St Sava Church. We continued at 13.00 in the Lady Paget Room with a few short speeches and we ended by playing the Last Post and "Tamo daleko". Refreshments was provided after the event.
Last Post is a project which brings together music and memory to mark the First World War Centenary. It is delivered by Superact, a non-profit arts organisation, established in 2006 which uses creativity to improve the health and wellbeing of people from a wide variety of backgrounds and abilities. The Last Post project 2015 has been awarded funding from the Department of Communities and Local Government in England, the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure in Northern Ireland and the Heritage Lottery Fund to roll out the project in England and Northern Ireland in 2015 (www.superact.org.uk/thelastpost).
