Nikola Tesla Museum directors visited London

The director of the Nikola Tesla Museum in Belgrade, Mrs Ivona Jevtić, and the former director of the Museum, Dr Branimir Jovanović, held a couple of lectures in London and Cambridge in early November 2024. Prof. Goran Mašanović, a member of the Educational Board of our school, met with Mrs Jevtić, Dr Jovanović, and representatives of Sajko Media&Events during their stay in London. During this meeting, they discussed the organisation of an event dedicated to Nikola Tesla at our school, which would take place in 2025. Mrs Jevtić and Dr Jovanović presented gifts to our school and invited Prof. Mašanović to visit them in Belgrade.

Jelena Angelovski's visit to our school

On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October, we had a pleasure of welcoming Jelena Angelovski, the author of the novel “Mika”.

On Saturday, Jelena presented her first novel “Mika” to the audience at the Bishop Nikolaj Hall. Through the excerpts from the novel she read, the audience learnt about the problem the main character, Mika, faces. He wonders “Who am I?”, after his best friend tells him he is “No one”. Mika is a boy from the Balkans who is growing up abroad and one of the main topics in the novel is his search for identity.

"Mika" book launch with Jelena Angelovski - 12 October 2024

We are pleased to announce the book launch event for the novel “Mika” with the author Jelena Angelovski. During the event, we will talk about the novel, our heritage language and bilingualism in our children growing up abroad.

Jelena Angelovski is a mum, a Serbian language teacher and an author for children growing up bilingually.

“Mika” is Jelena’s first novel, but also potentially the first major Serbian novel in modern times focussed on the topic of growing up abroad.

Join us in conversation on this topic that is common to all of us.

This event is both for children and grown-ups.

Saturday, 12 October 2024.
16 – 18h
