BECOME A SERBIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH BENEFACTOR AND PARTICIPANT IN THE PRESERVATION OF SERBIAN PROPERTY IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA

In May of 2014 the Holy Synod of Bishops of Serbian Orthodox Church made a decision to establish a fund for raising money to help Serbian Orthodox people in Kosovo and Metohija.

Тhe fund will have the specific intention of purchasing real estate property belonging to the Serbian refugees who had left Kosovo and Metohija, because by selling the properties to non-Serbs, the whole Serbian enclave will be permanently endangered. That would prevent the properties being sold to non-Serbs and would ensure the survival of our Holy Monasteries and Churches as well as all Serbian people living in Kosovo and Metohija.

At the same time, the Fund is planning to support commercial and other building projects in order to encourage the employment and advancement of young people who wish to stay and live in the area permanently.

The Serbian Orthodox Church, the Diocese of Rasko-Prizrenska will be named the legal owners of all obtained property and in that way the Diocese will permanently preserve the purchased properties for the use of those with the grеatest need.

The Fund will commit to sending an annual report of it's activities to all benefactors and all decisions will be made in the spirit of a mutual agreement of all the members of Board of Directors of the Fund. All potential benefactors will be able to sign an agreement for monthly donations with Bishop Teodosije of the Rasko-Prizrenska Diocese.

It is the wish of our Church that this charitable activity, which is of strategic importance for Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, flourishes as much as possible, so we can see, within our time, the fruits of our endevours in the Lord's garden.

Monies can be paid into a separate account of St Sava Church in London, which will then be transferred once a month to the Diocese of Rasko-Prizrenska:
