Talk by Father Stefan (British-Scandinavian Diocese).

Saints Cyril and Methodius were 9th-century Byzantine Greek brothers who were the principal Christian missionaries among the Slavs, introducing Orthodox Christianity. Father Stefan will explore the Saints' mission and the creation of a universal Slavic literary language and its relevance to the Church.

On Sunday 11 May 2014 after the Liturgy, Father Arsenije Jovanovic from the St Basil monastery in Montenegro gave a talk about Christianity in the 21^st century. A very interesting talk attended by more than 120 parishioners had many details from Father Arsenije’s own life story which lead him from ex-Yugoslavia’s rock scene to New York’s party scene and to the verge of spiritual and physical death before he finally renounced everything and gave his life to God.
