We are delighted to announce the start of our new Church Library Project, which has been significantly enhanced by the Nenad Petrovic Fund. The late Mr Petrovic, who passed away a few months ago, bequeathed his very impressive personal library to the St. Sava Church so that our parishioners may benefit from this wonderful selection of books.

Warm-hearted volunteers gathered at Sv Sava's Church in London on the 2nd and 15th of August to sort, pack, label and load the final consignment of aid destined for Doboj in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, following floods which devastated the region in May this year. The consignment reached Doboj on 19 August.

We would like to thank you all for your generosity and assistance during the Floods Relief Effort. This has been a difficult time for our country, friends and families who have been affected by this unprecedented natural disaster. We would like to especially thank those people who came and helped with the sorting and packaging of donated goods.

The Holy Eucharist in church will be followed by a special programme of recitals and short plays by the children of the St Sava Sunday School in the large hall of Dom Episkopa Nikolaja. The programme will mark this religious holiday as well as the end of the school year. Refreshments will be provided at the end of the programme.

The Church Council is hosting a Farewell Dinner for Father Djordje Cekerevac to thank him for his many years of devoted service to the church and parishioners of St Sava in London. Tickets can be purchased from Mr Blazo Kilibarda at the Restaurant (89 Lancaster Road, W11 1QQ, London).
