On Thursday 19th March 2015 at 7.30pm in the Lady Paget hall, St. Sava Church in London (89 Lancaster Road, London, W11 1QQ) "Lady Paget" book launch was organised. This is the first book about Lady Leila Paget (1881-1958) published in Serbia. The author, publicist, writer and private publisher Natasa Markovic talked about her book and the interesting details from the biography of the famous British humanitarian who treated the wounded in the Serbian army in the Balkan Wars and the World War I. After the World War II ended, her home in London became a meeting place for the Serbian political refugees. She financially helped the setup of the Serbian church and the Serbian club in London. A refreshment was organised after the book launch.
We would like to inform all friends of the late Nenad Petrovic, former president of the Church Council and great benefactor of our church community, that the commemoration will take place on Saturday 21 May 2016 at 2pm at the Serbian Orthodox Cemetery in Brookwood. We are organising a bus to transport our parishioners to the Brookwood Cemetery (St Cyprian's Avenue, Brookwood, Woking, GU24 0BL). Departure at 12.30pm from St Sava Church.
